What We Do

Like all friends, the Friends of the Northfield Public Library help our library in many ways.

Membership fees and donations support the bookmobile, children's reading programs and services, technology purchases, transportation to the library for first graders (promoting the summer reading program) and scholarships.

Volunteers deliver books and DVDs, mend and shelve library materials, clean up the library's landscape, plant the garden beds, and help with numerous special events.

The Friends also support:

• Trivia Bee Fundraiser

• Puzzle Playoff

• Sidewalk Poetry

• Northfield Poet Laureate

• Library grounds clean up days

• Partnerships with community organizations
